Iris on your Mac
ZImageApp v2.1.0 adds Iris Turbo to its native Mac image generation models. Its Swift / MLX inference runs on Apple Silicon and is included in the app, so no external Python source environment is needed for the native workflow.
Choose Iris, download a compatible package or configure Settings → Models → Iris. The generation panel exposes the model settings and optional FP16 Dense path for supported computation. Keep enough memory available for your selected resolution and mode.
How to get started
- Install ZImageApp v2.1.0 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 15+.
- Select Iris and download or configure its compatible MLX model package.
- Enter a prompt and generate locally; enable FP16 Dense when suitable for your device.
Can I use my existing Iris model directory?
Yes, if it is a compatible package in the format expected by the native Iris pipeline. Select the package in Settings → Models → Iris.
